GLS Asia has been awarded the management
agreement
to manage
and operate the “The Banyan Golf Club” in Hua Hin, Thailand.
The Club is owned by a group of developers and investors
from Holland known as Blue Lotus Hua Hin (Thailand) Co., Ltd
and is situated on the other side of “The Banyan Estate”
which boasts high class private housing that will be
connected with a picturesque road over a mountain.
There will be realised a very exclusive golf course with all
related facilities. The 18 Hole championship golf course (5
or 6 different tee boxes for every hole) will have an
exclusive designed club house consisting of a: pro-shop,
executive changing rooms, a 5-star restaurant and pub,
exotic suites and several terraces ovelooking the golf
course.
The fulness is concealed by the natural inhabitant of the
area consisting of mountains and rivers. Other unique
features of the championship golf course is the 360 degree
natural Burmese mountain views. Golf club membership is
limited for the purchasers and their families of investment
homes at the Banyan Golf Resort and Spa, private villa’s,
condominiums and apartments.
The total land area used fo this golf course is 375 Rai,
which is approximately 600,000 sqm. (square metres). On
behalf of the water supply for the golf course, two big
lakes are realized with a total size of 100 Rai, which is
approximately 160,000 sqm.
On the 1st July 2008 all facilities should be completed. The
grand opening of the golf course is scheduled later in the
year with a soft opening from 1st August 2008 offering
special introductory green fees. The championship golf
course is designed & constructed by Pirapon Namatra of Golf
East Co. Ltd, one of the best course design companies in
Thailand.
